Vera J. Egolf

Vera J. Egolf, 65, of Carlisle, died Friday, October 3, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Evelyn (Sheriff) Barrick and the wife of 36 years to Robert H. Egolf, III.

Vera was a 1978 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School.

She enjoyed crafting and diamond dots, motorcycle trips with Bob on the Can-am Spyder, 4-wheeling in Potter County and spending time at the cabin in Tioga County. Most of all, her grandkids meant the world to her.

Vera attended church at Community Christian Fellowship, where she was in the process of becoming a member.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Robert H. Egolf, IV (Claudia), of Mississippi, Cory Egolf (Laura), of Dillsburg; her three grandchildren: Nathan, Ruby and Veronica as well as her brother: Randy Barrick (Betty), of Carlisle.

Vera was preceded in death by her siblings: Terry, Kay, Judy and Verna (twin sister).

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Community Christian Fellowship, 360 York Road, Carlisle. Interment will follow the service in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held Friday, October 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. There will be no viewing Saturday morning.
