Vera Morse

BEACON – Vera Seaman Morse, a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Poughkeepsie. She was 103 years old.
Daughter of the late Alexander and Martha (Bobrick) Rosmilso, she was born in Hartford, CT on February 16, 1919. She was a graduate of Beacon High School and a communicant of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Vera enjoyed several hobbies including golfing, gardening, and crocheting. She was employed by National Biscuit Co. in Beacon as well as Marathon Battery Corp. in Cold Spring.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Seaman, in 1983. Vera was also preceded in death by her second husband, Charles Morse, in 2007.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Seaman; her daughter, Adele Lawler & her husband Michael; her daughter, Joanne Many & her husband Bill; her daughter, Cindy Boolukos & her husband James; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Vera was also predeceased by her siblings, Alexander Rosmilso, Ralph Rosmilso, and Anna Ellison.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1 at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Luke's Church Cemetery in Beacon.
