Vera Alderman Humphrey Sutton Obituary
Vera "Jean" Sutton of Morehead City, NC, left to be with her Lord on November 4, 2025, while resting at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC.
Vera is preceded in death by her father, William Warren Alderman and mother, Wavie Blanche Perry Alderman of West Virginia; one brother, Warren Alderman; three sisters, Betty Bailey, Mary Clay, and Phyllis Sizemore; and two husbands, Jerald Humphrey and Wallace Sutton.
She is survived by her son, David S. Humphrey, wife Beverly, and family of Newport, NC, and daughter, Gina Humphrey of Durham, NC.
There will be a brief memorial service at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, November 7th, at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will be received from 11:15 am to 11:45 am at the funeral home. Committal will follow the service at Maysville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Vera would greatly appreciate any donations given to her favorite charities, Samaritan's Purse and St. Jude’s's.
