Vera Whitesel Obituary
Vera was born in Elkhart on May 20, 1937, to the late Charles Holdeman and Francis E. Klingerman. She grew up in Bremen.
Vera was a well-known face at the Toasty shop where she worked for many years, also working for Dainty Maid for 12 years. She was also well known for her high demand homemade peanut brittle. She was a very strong individual and the rock for her family. She will be greatly missed.
Vera is survived by her children; Vera Kay (Rick) Pratt, Rick (Kim) Kline, Randy (Lisa) Kline, and Rodney Kline as well as 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and her siblings; Blanche Aschenbrenner, Shirley Cramer, and Dean Holdeman.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Betty Weise, Joyce Weldy, Donald Holdeman, Dick Holdeman, Roger Holdeman, and Edward "Pete" Holdeman.
A graveside committal will be held at 12pm on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at Bremen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care or to the Cure Starts Now in memory for Carter King and DIPG research.
