Verda Elizabeth Wills, age 84 of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 in Shelbyville.
She was the daughter of the late Ben and Bell (Clark) Blair. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wills, brothers, John L. Blair, James Blair, Alp Blair and her sister, Janice Blair.
She is survived by her son, Earl Wills (Cora) of Richmond, Kentucky and one granddaughter, Brittany Wilson (Kristopher), also of Richmond. Elizabeth is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends (Helen, Mike and Becky) who will mourn her passing.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Elizabeth spent her life caring for others who were ill and in need. She also loved animals and went to great lengths to make sure they were well-treated.
In honor of Elizabeth and her love for animals, contributions to the Shelby County Humane Society, 400 Hudson Blvd., Shelbyville, KY 40065 would be appreciated.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
