Presided in death Siblings Frank Long and Henry Long. She was educated in the Florida school system. Verdell has always showed an interest in helping others which showed her unselfish “HEART”.
Verdell met her Prince Charming which lead them to the alter of love. They exchanged their vows December 31, 1954. Right after marriage she was able to see the world. Traveling and residing in Arizona, California, Georgia and Kentucky during her husband’s military career. She was also known as one of the best homemakers a husband could ever dream of for a family. Verdell opened her home to a few working families to help with their Daycare needs. One of her closes friends opened up a Daycare without hesitation Verdell assisted her and enjoyed preparing the kids meals. Verdell had a passion for cooking for her family and friends. It was important that no one around her was ever hungry. Many times she would leave her family to help family members that were ill. If she could help someone out, she helped someone out. The giver that gave to anyone in need.
Verdell truly loved, admired and devoted her life to her husband and family. Verdell studied the Bible and dedicated her life as an ordained minister on June 15, 1996 as a Jehovah Witness. She enjoyed talking with family and friends about her wonderful environment that God promised for the future. Enjoying a life with a mate that loved and cherished her. She missed and loved her Honey dearly but always shared with us beautiful memories of their life. Verdell enjoyed being a homemaker, traveling and spending quality time with family especially her great-great grandchildren. She extended her kindness and love to all who cared for her.
