Verna M. (Maggiore) Bango, age 99, of Monroeville, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Juniper Village in Monroeville. She is the beloved wife of the late Albert Bango. Verna is survived by her loving family, Marlene Schick-White, Beth (fiancé Barry Faris) Gates, Judy Maggiore, Brittany Boehn, Michelle Herbst, Helen (Frank) DeVito, John Dreistadt, Bob Kral, GeGe Vecchio and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Matteo and Domenica (Barone) Maggiore; and eight brothers and sisters; the last being her beloved sister, Gloria Maggiore, who was everything to her. Verna was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Colman Church, where she was an Eucharistic Minister. She loved games, cards and watching game shows. Verna was a gracious, grateful, sweet and kind woman who loved to laugh. Friends will be received from 4 - 8 PM Monday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.jobefuneralhome.com.
