Verna Davis, age 93 of Lavonia, Ga. passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2024. She was born in Lyons, Ga on June 21, 1931 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stanley. She worked for years for the Department of Family and Children Services. She loved gardening, sun bathing, and boating on Lake Hartwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don Hoyle Davis, her son Stanley Davis, and sisters Merle Caldwell and Dorothy Galley.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Donna Davis (Donnie), two grandchildren: Stephanie Cannon (David) and Matthew (Kelly) Davis, three great-grandchildren: Shiloh Cannon and Afton Cannon, and Kinslee Davis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday December 14, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
Flowers are optional. You may donate in her memory to the charity of your choice.
Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell.
