Verna Lewis the daughter of the late Alison and Virgie Cole, One of 16, sadly passed away on August 25th at her daughter's Penny (Tim) Lee residence. Where she had been living happily for the past year. Verna was born on December 2, 1941. Verna was the wife of the late Billy Lewis. Verna is survived by her daughter Penny (Tim) Lee of Lexington, David Lewis (Kristy) of Carlisle. 3 Grandsons, Tim Jr (Emily) Lee, of Lexington, William (Ashlan) Lee of Versailles, and Anthony (Kate) Lee of Lexington, Three Granddaughters Brandi (Chris) Smith of Winchester, Shauntell (James) Robert's and Whitney Lewis of Georgia. Verna leaves behind 9 great grandkids Callie Cagle, Jameson Robert's, Maddie, Payton and Maci Lee, Christopher Jr, Adalyn, and Paislee Smith and Carson Lee. Surviving sisters Betty Hannah of Cynthiana, Debbie Gill of Cynthiana. and Sandy Clift of Lexington. Surviving brothers Alison Cole Jr of Frankfort, Ricky Cole of Kentucky, and Virgil (Darlene) Cole of Ohio. Verna is preceded in death by one son Billy Jr (Leitha) Lewis, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Pallbearers: Tim Lee Jr, William Lee, Anthony Lee, Chris Smith, Micheal Newton, Gary Wayne Cole.

Verna enjoyed spending time with her family and took great pride in her grandkids/great grandkids and her dog Little Man. All of those she loved and touched deeply. Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday August 29, 2025. Visitation will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, Ky 40513) from 9am-10am for family, Public from 10am-12pm. Funeral Service will be officiated by brother Ronnie Taylor at 12pm with the burial at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens to follow.
