Vernon Bacon Obituary
Vernon was born and raised in Baltimore City and moved to Dundalk in 1958 where he raised his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife Joyce Anne Bacon and his children, Brenda Gayle Martin and husband Raymond, Rebecca (Becky) Fann and husband William, Eric W. Bacon and wife Susana, his grandchildren Garett Corn and wife Jennifer, Amber Witthauer and husband Greg, Tracey Fann, Marcie Fann and Emily Fann, great-grandchildren, Elijah Corn, Rylie Corn, Grayson Corn, Annabell Witthauer, Ariya Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vernon retired in 1991 from Joseph Seagram and Son after working at the Four Roses plant on Willow Spring Road for 35 years.
Vernon was a family man through and through. He loved his family and would do anything for them to make their lives easier. He also loved thoroughbred racing back in the day when Maryland was home to Laurel and Bowie. He welcomed the arrival of the casinos and spent a lot of his free time visiting Maryland Live and Perryville.
There will be no funeral service, but a small memorial service will be held later. Due notice will be given. Donation to a charity of your choice can be made in his honor if desired.
