Vernon Barbare Obituary
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired boilermaker for Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga. Vernon enjoyed the outdoors where he could be found participating in many 5K races. He was an avid NASCAR fan traveling all over to enjoy the races.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Lena Mann Barbare; siblings, Harold Barbare, Joyce Ferguson, Bobbie Thomson, Fred Barbare, Cleveland "Buck" Barbare, Mike Barbare, and Jeffrey Barbare.
He is survived by his sister, Sue Woodard; and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Ridgeway Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
