Mr. Vernon Roe Fore

Mr. Vernon Roe Fore, who was 82 years old, sadly passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at his home in Atmore, Alabama. He leaves behind cherished memories for his family and friends, who will remember him fondly. His life was filled with experiences and stories that touched those around him, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying both hunting and fishing whenever he could. In addition to his outdoor hobbies, he took great joy in growing vegetables in his garden, nurturing them from tiny seeds into healthy plants. His service to his country was marked by his time in the United States Army and the Army National Guard, where he showed dedication and commitment. He served in the Carney Lodge for a number of years and later served in the Perdido Lodge. Beyond his military life, he found community and support as a member of Sardis Baptist Church, where he gathered with others who shared his faith and values.
Mr. Fore is preceded by his parents, Roscoe and Reaby Conway Fore; brothers, Butch Fore and Billy Fore; sister, Joyce (Terry) Watson; grand-daughter, Cheyenne Hammond.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda (Scott) Lassiter and Lisa (Mike) Calloway, both from Flomaton, Alabama. Additionally, he leaves behind one nephew, Mark Watson, of Brooklyn, New York, and two nieces, Gay Watson, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Beth (Bart) Cooke, of Houston, Texas, one grandson, Hunter Lassiter, of Pensacola, Florida. He is also remembered by a host of wonderful relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. with Reverend Rickey Tedder officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Beatrice, Alabama.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC.
