Vernon Lloyd Helmick

Vernon Helmick, 82, of Dawson WV passed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at home following a long illness.
He was the son of the late Ruby and Clarence Helmick. His daughter, Karen Sue, sister, Vera Midkiff, sister, Helen Smith and brother Roy Helmick have been awaiting a heavenly reunion.
He is survived by one daughter Victoria Lynn of Dawson, brother, Buck Helmick, Brother Keith (Pam), brother, Wayne (Melissa) and large host of extended family, and the Meadow Grove Baptist Church and friends across the state of WV.
Vernon was very proud to be a part of the Army Reserves Unit in Rainelle, and an American. He love his small community and was a lifelong member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church. He worked his whole life for Sears and traveled many miles all over the state as a repair technician who could and did fix any and everything for hundreds of people. But he was best known for being an exceptional Dad.
Service will be closed casket at Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle WV on January 10th, 2025 at noon with Pastor Billy Pate and singers from his home church.
