Vernon Ogle Obituary
Vernon Dale Ogle, 84, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Monday morning, September 3, 2024 at home. Born in Manheim Twp., he was the son of the late Virgil K. and Opal K. Gallimore Ogle. He was the husband of Sandra H. Adams LeCalsey.
Dale was a 1958 graduate of Manheim Central High School where he participated in various sports. Prior to retiring, he was employed for 32 years as a quality assurance coordinator by Armstrong World Industries at the Lancaster Floor Plant before retiring in 1993. After retirement, he worked as a driver at Manheim Auto Auction for 10 years.
Dale enjoyed traveling throughout the continental US. He also enjoyed spending time in sunny Florida and the mountains of Potter and Tioga counties.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Kenneth D. Ogle (Cyndy Reinhart), of Manheim, and Lori L., wife of Scott Stauffer, of Brownstown; five grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Chris, Jessie, and Nicole; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Kermit Ogle, M. Laverne Carpenter, Thelma Haddad, and Joye Shaffer.

Dale was not related by blood, but he was the father that raised me. I was 5 years old when he entered my life and every significant memory from growing up - our family vacations, our many weekends spent at our cabins, holidays with family - he was there. I knew him as a very caring father and a doting "Poppop" to Quinn & Tessa, his grandchildren. He had a huge impact on my life and his loss has left a hole in my heart, but I am so grateful for the 40+ years of wonderful memories.

Dale is loved and will be missed by me and Cheryl and our children. We have a lot of wonderful memories of trips back to PA and time spent with him over the years. We miss the simple times spent with Dale on holidays and just hanging out with our family. He was a crucial person in my life and he leaves a hole with his absence. His passing was a shock and we want to send our deepest condolences, especially to Kenny and Lori
