Vernon Ray “Cotton” Weaver        Age: 79

 

Of: Cumberland Furnace, Tn.       Passed Away: Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Signature Healthcare in Erin, Tn. He was born March 6, 1944, to Alver and Beatrice Ruth Winn Weaver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He spent his career in the Construction Industry, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

 

Visitation: with the family will be conducted on Sunday from 4-8pm at Spann Funeral Home.

 

Funeral Service: for Vernon Ray “Cotton” Weaver will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00am, from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home, with Ty Weaver officiating.

 

Interment: will be conducted Monday at 1:00pm at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Wife of 59 years:

   Judy Sensing Weaver of Cumberland Furnace, Tn.

Sons:

   Tracy Ray Weaver of Tennessee ridge, Tn.

   Terry Weaver (Yalanda) of Dickson, Tn.

Brother:

   Earl Weaver (Rachel) of Vanleer, Tn.

3 Grandchildren:

   Levi Weaver, Elizabeth Rae Richardson, and Sam Hayes.

5 Great-Grandchildren:

   Presley and Palmer Hayes, Adison Richardson, Brysein Vanderpool, and Knox Richardson.

Dog:

   Chloe

Parents: Alver and Beatrice Ruth Weaver

Brother: Jimmy Weaver

Great-Grandchild: Colt Richardson
