NASHVILLE – Veronica Lewis Morrison, 85, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on August 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roy Lewis Sr. and Effie May Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Basil Morrison; and her brothers, Douglas Lewis, Basil Lewis, and Robert Roy Lewis Jr.
She graduated nursing school from the Park View School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. Veronica married Basil Morrison of Waterloo, Iowa in 1961. She loved spending time with her family especially cooking for Sunday and holiday meals. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and beautiful flower beds of which she had many.
Veronica is survived by her sons, Rodney Morrison (Bridget) and David Morrison (Jenny); her grandchildren, Meredith Morrison and Cameron Morrison; her great-grandson, Eddie Lee Stocks; her sisters, Loretta Carothers and Marie Moore; and her brothers, Carroll Lewis and Leon Lewis (Evelyn).

So very sorry for your loss. Veronica was a happy person to be around. Was always nice to see her and Base when they came home to Iowa to visit family. May God comfort you as to travel down this path He has allowed you to travel.
