Veronica was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward O'Connell; their granddaughter, Simone O'Connell; her parents, James and Bridget Tunney; and her siblings Winnie May, Kathleen, Teresa, Peggy, Bridie, Nancy, Pat, and Jim. She is survived by her loving sister Lena Woolley (née Tunney), great-grandson Aiden O'Connell, sister-in-law Margaret Tunney and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025 at 12 P.M. at St. Dominic Church 440 E. Briarcliff, Bolingbrook, with a visitation preceding the Mass at 11:30 A.M. To Vera´s family I am so sorry to hear and praying for you all. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Vera was like another grandma to me. She was wonderful and caring. Always smiling and happy.

My first memory was meeting her at Simone´s graduation party a long time ago. She´s a wonderful woman and I am going to miss her so much!! Simone and her used to come visit me at my old job! I am going to miss her smile and her heart of gold!!
