Veronica C. Sanchez of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest, May 21, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Jaurez, Mexico May 29, 1956 to Manuela and Demacio Sanchez. She was 68 years of age.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Jessica) Sanchez, of La Junta, Colorado Nolberto (Victoria Rivera) Sanchez of La Junta, Colorado, Jesus (Rosa) Sanchez of La Junta, Colorado, Consuelo Sanchez of La Junta, Colorado, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother, Carlos (Nina) Salmeron of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Alfred (Veronica) Sanchez of La Junta, Colorado, Daniel (Jessica) Sanchez of Vacaville, California, sisters, Priscilla Chavez of La Junta, Rosa Cordoero of Dodge City, Kansas, Stella (Federico) Figueroa, her grand dogs, Max who she called Sam, Keegan, Mia, Booduh, Remee and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Manuela Raso and her sister Ruth Lopez.
Veronica enjoyed shopping, cleaning, decorating, watching wrestling, paranormal and crime documentaries. She was all about her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved dancing. She could give a great eye roll, but she had the biggest and best smile ever. She was a fun, wonderful person that will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A Rosary will be held Friday May 30, 2025.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick's Catholic Church in La Junta and a burial at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
