Veronica Santos Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Hair-Wards Funeral Chapel on Feb. 2, 2026.
Veronica B. Santos passed away on December 6, 2025 in her Klamath Falls, Oregon home, at the age of 93. She was born on April 16, 1932, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Frank and Emily (Pedro) Enos.
On July 8, 1972, Veronica married Joseph Santos and they were married 29 years, until Joe's death in 2001. "Roni" moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 2021. She loved children, and worked many years in the field of child care, primarily at Hickam Air Force Base and Ft. Shafter.
Roni was a good cook, and made--hands down--the best Portuguese Bean Soup ever! She also enjoyed baking--making dozens and dozens and dozens of cookies at Christmas, and for other occasions. Joe would package the cookies to give away to their friends. Together they enjoyed bowling, playing cards, football games and traveling to Las Vegas.
Roni loved being a part of the St. Pius X Church family. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, attended weekly Women's Bible Study, and was part of the Golden Girls. She loved to sing, and had a beautiful voice...when she was 9, she was chosen to sing "O Holy Night" at Midnight Mass. Here in Klamath, she delighted in singing with the Kitchen Band for three seasons. She loved people and was always eager to "talk story" with them.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on December 18, 2025: Rosary at 10:30 am and Mass at 11:00 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 27, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Church in Aiea, Hawaii. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Joe, at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
