Anthony "Kroket Rocket" Krok

1942 - 2026

Anthony Francis Krok passed away February 24th, 2026, at his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was 83.

Tony was the 3rd of five children, born May 21, 1942, to Polish immigrants Francis and Zosia/Sophia (Pagacz) Krok, who had settled in a Polish community in East Chicago, Indiana.

When Tony was 8, the family moved to Long Beach California, then to Klamath Falls, Oregon when he was in eighth grade.

Tony and his siblings all attended Catholic schools, including Saint Stanislaus in East Chicago, Saint Anthony's in Long Beach, Sacred Heart in Klamath Falls, and Saint Mary's in Moraga, California. Tony was admitted to Creighton Medical School, where he was successful until a health condition caused him to withdraw.

He found employment, and was able to fit in activities, including riding his bike across the United States.

In 1999, Tony inherited the family home in Klamath Falls and enjoyed the business of selling his mom's Polish cookies, which he called "Rockets". Tony was known across Klamath County for riding his bike with a sign on his back: "Krokets Rockets".

He was a beloved community figure, and was open-hearted and charitable to all. Tony created a unique life for himself, and his family and all of Klamath Falls are grateful to have had him in their lives.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 1:00 PM at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Klamath Falls, Oregon. O'hair-Wards Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
