Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary for Veronica Lear Sinitiere, 46, who passed away Tuesday evening at her home with her husband at her side. Burial will be held in the Franklin Cemetery.  Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Veronica was born and raised in Franklin and made many friends and acquaintances in her 46 years.  She was an active part of the Franklin business community, having worked in the family business, St. Mary Printers, from 1981 until 2007. She is survived by her husband, Minas "Mike" A. Sinitiere, Jr. of Franklin; three daughters, Nyah Boudreaux of Franklin, Kristi Boudreaux of New Iberia, and Taryn Boudreaux of Franklin; two sons, Dontay Sinitiere and Dominic Sinitiere, both of Franklin; one step-son, Minas "Andy" Sinitiere, III and his wife, Mary, of Loreauville; one step-daughter, April Sinitiere Washington and her husband, Laine, of Franklin; and nine grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Juanita Lear Bodin and her husband, Charles Teague, of Lafayette; a niece, Mary Arton of Lafayette; two nephews, Jordan Bodin of Lafayette and PFC Andrew LaPointe of Pensacola, FL; step-mother, Anna Lear of Baldwin; two step-sisters, Debbie Murray of Sulpher and Kathy Burgess of Lake Charles; and three step-brothers, Paul Burgess of Franklin, Jimmy Burgess of Lafayette, and Robert Burgess of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Toni Irene McLean Wilkerson; her father Robert Carl Lear; and by her maternal and paternal grandparents. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's Mortuary from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Minas "Andy" Sinitiere, III, Charles Teague, Andrew LaPointe, Jordan Bodin, Reginald Case, and Roger Greene.
