Veronica Marie Torres was born on August 3rd, 1992 in Dallas, TX to Polo Martinez III and Sandra Martinez. With deep love and profound sadness, she passed away on October 8th, 2025 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 33.
Veronica aka Qui Qui was devoted to her family. More than anything, she cherished her husband Santos Torres III of 20 years. They shared their strength, laughter, and unwavering love with their 4 beautiful children, Daughter Elyianna (9), Sons, Elijah (14), Isaac (13), Christian (11).
Survived by Grandparents Polo Martinez II, Alicia Moreno, Modesta Torres, Betty & Leno Ortega. Parents Polo and Sandra Martinez III & Father-n- Law Santos Torres Jr, Brother Alex Martinez, Sister-n-Laws Laura Torres, Jennifer Castillo, Brother-n-laws Carlos Castillo and Raymond Torres. Nieces Marissa Castillo & Valerie Castillo, Nephews Carlos Castillo III, Matthew Castillo and Isaiah Torres.
She took great pride in being a loyal wife, mother, daughter and sister. Also survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends including her 2 fur babies, Libby and Jasmine whom she adored.
Whether it was her infectious laughter, her caring nature, or her ability to turn any moment into a cherished memory, she was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended Tint Cosmetology where she graduated in 2024 and excelled in doing what she loved. She successfully opened her own business in Dallas where she had a long list of clients. She was deeply committed to her work and always strived to make a difference to anyone that had the privilege of sitting in her chair.
Beyond her professional achievements, Qui Qui was a woman of many passions. Whether she was spending time with family, cooking or baking or going to the lake, she embraced every experience with enthusiasm and love.
She was preceded in death by Mother-n-law Quana Torres, Grandmother Rosemary Martinez, Grandfathers Alcario Moreno Jr and Santos Torres Sr. Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories she left behind.
