Veronica Jane Wade

Veronica Jane Wade, age 78 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was born August 19, 1947 in Springfield, KY to the late Russell and Juanita (Sagracy) Hardin. Veronica was a homemaker, worked at Angell Manufacturing Co., and then retired as a corrections officer from the Marion Adjustment Center (CCA).

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Wade Jr.; siblings, James Hardin, William Hardin, Anna Ruth Pruyear, and Burma Lou Thompson; niece, Shelly Thompson; and nephew, Gerald Pruyear.

Survivors include her children, Jamie Wade (Rhonda L. Wade-mother of his children) of Lebanon, Jason Wade of Lebanon, Jessica Wade (Hannah Ploof) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Jeremie Wade (Brian Saunders) of Lexington; nieces, Mary "Sissy" Russell of Lebanon, Sandy Grubbs of Moreland, KY, and Geneal Hardin of Springfield; nephews, Jimmy Thompson of Bardstown, Harley Thompson of Springfield, Mike Pruyear of Perryville, Tommy Pruyear of Campbellsville, and Dewayne Hardin of Harrodsburg; and grandchildren, Austin Wade (Jonathan Smith), Taylor Wade, and Brianna Saunders.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 04, 2026 at Stewart's Creek Baptist Church, 245 Stewarts Creek Road, Lebanon, KY 40033, with Rev. Doug Davis and Rev. Dan Durham officiating. Interment will follow in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 03, 2026 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jamie Wade, Jason Wade, Jessica Wade, Jeremie Wade, Austin Wade, and Taylor Wade.
