Versal Terry, 99, of Gainesville, MO passed away February 23, 2026 at Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born November 14, 1926 on the family farm in Shiloh, MO to Willis and Dora (Pellham) Honeycutt.
On July 16, 1945, Versal was united in marriage to Flay Terry. To this union three children were born, Sandra Kay, Linda Lea and Jeffrey Flay. Versal loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and reading, and riding her horse, Rocky. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Terry and wife Bobbi; son-in-law Larry Donley; grandchildren: Trish Haltom and husband Nate, Randy Donley and wife Miranda, Rick Donley and wife Devin, Doug Richards and wife Kim, Dennis Richards, Jared Terry and wife Molly, Jessica Davidson and husband Nick, Joe Terry and wife Kristen, Dylan Burks and wife Lydia; and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Dora Honeycutt; her husband, Flay Terry; daughter, Sandra (Terry) Richards; son-in-law, Merrill Richards; daughter, Linda (Terry) Donley; grandson, Chris Richards; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Officiating will be Jimmy Kyle. Burial will be in the Price Place Cemetery. Donations can be made to Price Place Cemetery or Friend Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
