Mrs. Vester 'Chubby' Woodham Obituary Mrs. Vester "Chubby" Spann Woodham, passed away peacefully at McCall Hospice House of Greenville in Simpsonville, SC on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
She was born on January 13, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ to Aurelia Hogan and Johnny Spann, who both preceded her in death.
When she was an infant she was plump and chucky and was called Chubby by those that loved her, which lovingly followed her throughout her life. She attended elementary and high school in the Bulloch County School system and graduating as a member of the Marvin Pittman Class of 1972.
At an early age, Vester accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and joined Mt. Zion A.M.E Church under the leadership of Rev. Foster, where she was active in church activities until she relocated out of state. Chubby married Jimmy Woodham which is a union of love and devotion to one another throughout their marriage, and she was a joy to her siblings and her entire family, to include her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was always interested in her nieces and nephews and involved in their milestones and accomplishments, and all them knew the love, concern and words of wisdom that came from "Auntie Chubby" and they knew that she loved them unconditionally.
Surviving to cherish Chubbys precious memory: her beloved husband, Jimmy Woodham, her father-in-law, three sisters, Johnnie Pearl Lee (Izell), Deborah Scott, and Dorethea Hogan (Roger), three brothers, Barry Hogan (Raquel), Earl Hogan (Janice), and Carl Hogan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss her.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 3:00p.m. at 2010 Farmingdale Road, Hartsville, SC 29550.
