Veta Victor Bourne

Veta Bourne (nee Victor), born to eternal life on February 21 2025 in Downers Grove. Veta, 99, previously of Clarendon Hills, was the beloved wife of the late Curtis C Bourne, to whom she was married for 50 years.
Veta was born to Lee T and Veta Victor on February 23, 1926, in Chicago. In 1952, she married Curt, also of Chicago, who preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Veta worked as a homemaker administrative assistant and an avid volunteer. She traveled throughout the world with Curt and they enjoyed entertaining and the arts.
Veta is survived by three children: Timothy (Barbara) of Aiken, SC; Brian (Karen) of Melbourne, FL and Jeffrey, of Tempe, AZ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a beloved niece, Janet Scheunemann, of Charlottesville, VA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame Church on Friday, May 2 at 10:30. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame School, Clarendon Hills.
