Veta Covert Obituary
Veta Jo Covert was born in Galena, Missouri, on November 1, 1933. She passed peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of ninety-two in Gilbert, Arizona.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Covert; their son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Ann Covert; and three cherished grandsons and their wives: Ben and Morgan Covert, Joel and Hannah Covert, and Daniel and Aubrey Covert. Veta Jo also leaves behind nine wonderful great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Hayden, Liam, Owen, Esther, Kye, Micah, Addiah, and Sadie Covert.
Veta Jo and James were married on June 10, 1951, and shared nearly 75 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories together.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Lamb Chapel on the campus of Grace Community Church, 1200 E. Southern Ave, Tempe, Arizona 85282, at 10:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kontaktmission USA, a church-planting organization serving communities in Europe (P.O. Box 825, Humboldt, TN 38343-0825).
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and devoted caregivers who lovingly cared for Veta Jo during her final days.
