Vicente Fuentez Obituary
A proud Aggie, Vincent earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Tech from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Special Education from St Thomas' University in Houston, TX. Vincent made much of his career in charter schools, serving as teacher at West Houston Charter School and both teacher and principal at Katy Creative Arts (1996-2004) and at Calvin Nelms Charter Schools from 2005 to 2024.
Vincent is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Rosa Fuentez and his brothers, Andres Fuentez, Jr. and Richard Fuentez. He is survived by his sisters, Maria Gramig (Nick) and Delia Fuentez and by his brothers, Maurilio (Barbara) Fuentez and Albert Fuentez. He is also survived by his life partner of 28 years, Hilary Jane Aquino, and her children, Bianca Veronica, Alexander Robert, Alicia Antoinette and India Olivia. Vincent was also a proud "grandpapa" to Iris Annaleigh and Logan Jason. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church in Katy, to be celebrated at 11am on Friday, June 20, 2025. A Celebration of Life and memorial will be held at Calvin Nelms Charter Schools on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Vincent's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Shriner's Children's Hospital of TX.
