Vicki Ann Dawson was a beloved Wife and Mother who passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the age of 63. Vicki was surrounded by her family, friends and loved ones.

Vicki was born on January 2nd, 1961 in Ennis, Texas to Andrew and Carol Cantu. Vicki grew up in Waxahachie and graduated from Waxahachie High School. Vicki will be remembered for being an amazing hairstylist with a very large clientele. (We still have people tell us she was the ONLY person allowed to cut their hair). She is also remembered for working as a teachers aide at Marvin elementary, Northside Elementary, and TC Wilemon where she had a lasting impact on the kids she helped teach. Vicki touched the lives of many, through her infectious laugh, kindness, generosity, and being able to crack a joke during any serious time. Vicki left a lasting impact on all who knew her, especially her family.

Vicki is survived by her Husband, Troy Dawson, Son Jacob Green and wife Lynsey Green, Grandson, Lane Emery, Daughter Haley Dawson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Vicki is proceeded in death by her father, Andrew Cantu Jr., Mother, Carolina Cantu, her beloved older brother, Andrew Cantu the 3rd, her beloved baby brother, David Cantu, and her Daughter, Lyndsey Dawson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 12:00PM, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Vicki’s life and legacy. Flowers can be sent to Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Vicki’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
