Wesley Randolph Day, affectionately known as Wes, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 23, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Wesley was the son of Marvin and Sarah LaPrairie Day.

Wesley was a proud graduate of Waxahachie High School, where he laid the foundation for a life that celebrated hard work and dedication. He embarked on a diverse career path that saw him contribute his talents to various organizations, including Exchange Furniture, Elegant Casual, Harbor Freight Tools, Northern Tools, and Chair King. Each role allowed him to leave his mark and connect with many people throughout his life.

Outside of work, Wesley was deeply passionate about gun education and found joy in storytelling. A fan of football and he cherished moments spent outdoors and gathered with friends and family, celebrating the simple pleasures of life.

Wesley married Elizabeth Day on March 23, 1990, and together they created a warm and welcoming home. He took great pride in his role as a stepfather to Richard Carr Sr. and Cynthia Carr. In addition to his children, Wes was a beloved grandfather to Richard Carr Jr., Nicholas Carr, Erin Walker, and Kristopher Carr. He cherished each of them and enjoyed sharing stories and good times that will linger in their hearts.

Wesley's enduring legacy is also carried on by his siblings: Lloyd and Mona Saunders, along with their children Lori, Sara, Danny, and Timmy; Paula Giles and her children Stephanie, Laura, Amanda, and Ben; Scott and BobbyAnn Ludwig with their child Jennifer; and Fawn Day and her children Nate, Rachel, and Jessica. Additionally, he is survived by Don and Peggy Suter and their children Jade, Joy, and Bart; June Guthrie and her child Sara; and Kent and TruDee Little with their children Matthew and Nate.

Wesley's parents, Marvin and Sarah Day, along with siblings—Marvin, Loretta, Neil, Lisa, Cheryl, and Gary—and nephews Sean and Michael, predeceased him.

A graveside service to celebrate Wesley's life will take place on September 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens located in Irving, Texas. Family and friends are invited to honor the life and legacy of a man whose spirit will undoubtedly live on in the memories of all who knew him.
