Vicki Dodson

Vicki Anne Carrell Walden Dodson, affectionately known by all as "Grandma Green," passed away in her home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, at the age of 82. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter - the heart and soul of her family.
Born in Safford, Arizona, on March 13, 1943, to Charles "Tink" and Gerry Carrell, Vicki was the oldest of four children and a proud graduate of Safford High School. She was a natural nurturer and leader from the start, helping to shape and care for her siblings: Charles Jack (Cheryl) Carrell, Barbara (Richard) Adair, and Steve (Kristi) Carrell.
Vicki married Fuzzy Walden, and together they raised a loving family. She then later married Richard Dodson, continuing to share her big heart and boundless energy with those around her.
She is survived by: her children, Connie (Oscar) Carrasco, Deanna (Jack) Fullbright, Tawna (Ty) Bingham, and Todd (Lori) Walden.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Fuzzy Walden; her second husband, Richard Dodson; her daughter, Teri Nichols; her granddaughter, Kendra Rivera; her great-grandson, Levi Fullbright; and her brother-in-law, Richard Adair.
Vicki was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime - and true passion - was attending her children's and grandchildren's activities, especially sporting events. No matter the sport or the score, she believed her grandkids were the best ones out there. In her eyes, they couldn't be better - and she made sure everyone in the stands knew it. Her cheers, support, and endless pride were felt deeply and will never be forgotten.
Known for her vibrant personality, Vicki was loyal, loving, independent, caring, feisty, and fun. She had a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, and a true gift for making others feel seen and accepted just as they were. She loved to dance and had an undeniable spark - always the life of the party.
Vicki was the center of a large and loving family, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void. Her warmth, strength, and joyful spirit will be missed more than words can express.
A Celebration of Vicki's Life will be conducted Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Mount Graham Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Michael Peterson of the El Dorado Ward.
