Vicki Jean (Youmans) Kuiper, age 75, of Belding, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Meijer Heart Center in Corewell Health – Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born on June 16, 1948, in Belding, Michigan, daughter of Jesse and Velma Irene (Rickert) Youmans, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1966. She married the love of her life, Thomas C. Kuiper, and has enjoyed 56 years of marriage to him. The couple exchanged vows in Belding on April 22, 1967. While her primary focus was taking care of her husband, home, and family, she worked in several capacities through the years including casher at Sav-a-lot Foods, where she was friendly face for the many regular customers who came to know her. She loved spending summers out at Scalley Lake Campground and cherished time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite places to go was Disney World in Florida. She made sure that the grandkids each got there several times. As active as she was, one of her favorite places to be, was on the front porch sipping a cup of coffee watching the world go by. She was a member of the Belding VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years and will be missed by her many friends.
Vicki leaves her loving family to cherish her memory including her loving husband, Tom; her children Troy T. Kuiper of Grant and Tammi (Lary) Richmond of Belding; grandchildren Broghen (Colton) Eyer, Michael Kuiper, Sarah Triggs, Courtney Richmond, Olivia (Fred) Russell, Katherine Richmond, Bryce Kuiper, Hailey Kuiper and Kendyl Kuiper; great grandchildren, Bryant, Gentrey, Ryelyn, Reyna Mei, Korenza, and Kaylyn, with one more on the way!; her twin brother Victor (Cindy) Youmans and brother Jess (Jeannie) Youmans; former sisters-in-law, Donna and Sharon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Youmans.
A Memorial Service is being planned for Vicki to take place on Thursday, August 10, 2023. The family will greet visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m and the Service will begin at 12 Noon.
