Vicki Schultz Obituary

Vicki Jeanne Schultz passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, wit, and wisdom. Vicki was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania on October 3rd, 1952. She later earned her bachelor's degree from Westminster College, beginning a life rich in thought, friendship, and quiet devotion to the things and people she loved most.

Vicki had a lifelong love of dogs — from the four wonderful English Setters of her childhood to the three lively and joyful wire-haired terriers who became part of her heart and home: Boswell, Duffy, and Beasley. Her days were made brighter by their energy, affection, and the sense of companionship they brought.

A passionate reader and devoted lover of opera, Vicki found in both a deep well of beauty, insight, and escape. These twin loves enriched her life beyond measure and became quiet companions through all its seasons. She could do without all those bi-monthly Windows updates — and said so often — but she embraced life’s changes with grace, meeting both joys and challenges with a steady heart.

She married the love of her life, Ed Schultz, on December 17, 1977. Their bond was deep and enduring, built on shared values, quiet joys, and the kind of love that grows stronger with time. Vicki was preceded in death by Ed, her beloved husband.

She is survived by Ed’s daughter Jennie, whom she held close to her heart, her nephew Jim and Sister-in-Law Beckie Shellhammer, who carry forward her sense of steadiness, curiosity, and care. She was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise Poole; her sister Jacqueline; and her mother-in-law, Ruth L. Schultz.

Vicki formed lifelong friendships within the close-knit community of Heritage Tower Condominiums, where she was known for her gentle spirit, sharp mind, and wry humor. Those who knew her will remember her as deeply thoughtful, quietly funny, and wholly authentic.

Vicki Jeanne Schultz lived with depth, dignity, and warmth. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

“May her memory be a blessing.”
