Vickie Davis, 66, of Fort Worth, Texas, went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a generous heart. Born and raised in Fort Worth, she graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1976. From there, she dedicated herself to nurturing and helping others, starting as a compassionate teacher's assistant at David K. Sellars, and later as a devoted caregiver for over 20 years. Her life was a testament to her selfless giving, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Vickie’s journey with faith began early in life when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where her spirit of service extended to all those around her. Whether through her work, her church, or her community, Vickie was a constant source of support and encouragement for those blessed enough to know her.

Known for her infectious humor and charismatic personality, Vickie could light up any room. She was the life of the party, she was the one everyone looked to for a good laugh. Her love for jokes and her ability to find joy in any situation was something truly special. Vickie had a way of making others feel at ease, reminding us all to take life a little less seriously.

At 30, Vickie embraced the joy of motherhood, and at 49, she became a proud grandmother roles she cherished with her whole heart. Family was everything to her, and she was the unwavering rock for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children, Felicia (Kendrick), Bianca (Alpha), and Bernell, as well as her brother, Eddie Roy and niece, Kandra. She was the proud grandmother of Cristin, Jailynn, Lorrin, and Skai’Lynn. Vickie also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will continue to carry her legacy of love, laughter, and faith.

Though she has gone to be with the Lord, we take comfort in knowing that Vickie is watching over us with that familiar smile and perhaps cracking a joke to remind us to keep laughing, keep loving, and keep living. She will be deeply missed, but her impact will be felt for generations to come.
