Vickie Hammerquist

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Vickie Hammerquist, who departed this life on February 11, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, educator and friend, whose kindness and dedication touched everyone she met. Vickie was known for her sincerity, her unwavering support, and her spirit of grace.

Born in Spokane, Washington on October 30, 1946, she dedicated her life to her family and inspired many in their pursuit of education. She is survived by Her husband Steve Hammerquist, children Jennifer and (Dale) Hartley, Matthew Hammerquist and Michael and (Jenny) Hammerquist. Grandchildren Treben Webb, Irelie Hammerquist, Chase Hartley, Caleb Hammerquist, Hollyn Hammerquist, Holden

Hammerquist, and Lane Hammerquist. Siblings Jacqueline Cole, and Michael Zinn, who will cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love. She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine Zinn, father Myrl Zinn and son Aaron Hammerquist.

Vickie enjoyed spending her days traveling, reading, cooking, and visiting with her family. She was a friend and confidant to many. Her caring spirit and laughter will be dearly missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.

Services will be held at Sunset Hills in Eugene, Or. on Monday March 9th, 2026, at 2:00pm where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate her remarkable life.

Vickie Hammerquist will remain in our hearts forever, and her memory will be a blessing to all who loved her.
