Our dear mother and grandmother Vickie Lee Hartman sadly passed away December 15, 2022 at the age of 69, peacefully at home with those she loved, after a hard fought battle with lung cancer and treatment. Vickie was born July 11, 1953 in Riverside California to Cecil and Martha Workman.
Vickie was a beautiful, happy, free spirit who’s memory will long live on with those who were lucky enough to know her and remember her smile. Late in life she kept saying her religion was LOVE!
Outside of her retired(2019) HAFB career working on aviation electronics she always found and shared hobbies that kept her happily occupied, whether that was her love for music(especially The Grateful Dead), dancing, photography, or crafting. She lovingly raised her kids Henry and Milissa Pietszak and later in life helped raise her grandkids Jordan Wagstaff and Mayson Taylor who she loved immensely and did everything she could for them! Vickie was predeceased by her parents and older brother Lloyd(Skip) Workman.
Thank you Dr. Jaden Evans and Dr. Nikil Moodabagil for helping Vickie enjoy another year of life. RN Kasey and the staff at Canyon Hospice for helping make Vickie comfortable. Jasmine Fulton for helping Vickie navigate treatment and late life in the most positive way, she loved you so much.
Services will be withheld due to the season and weather. Remembering her in nature as she would have enjoyed will come spring 2023 with a celebration of life.
