Vickie Pitt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations - Lancaster on Oct. 1, 2025.
Vickie Lynn Pitt, 66, died in Quartz Hill, Ca on July 29, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1959, in North Charleroi, Pennsylvania, to Jack and Ruth Kott (Dunlop). From the very beginning, Vickie's life was filled with creativity, laughter, and a deep love for family.
After graduating from Bell High School in 1977, Vickie's life changed forever when she married her best friend and the love of her life, Kenneth Pitt, on October 28, 1978. Over the next 47 years, they built not only a home, but a legacy of love, partnership, and devotion. Together they raised two children, Alethea and Seth, and watched their family grow to include grandchildren Haylee, Shayla, Kenny, Payton, and Jaxon, and a great-grandchild, River. Family was always at the center of Vickie's heart.
Vickie was a woman of many talents. She could sew anything with precision and care, create art that reflected her vibrant spirit, arrange flowers with elegance, and decorate cakes that were as beautiful as they were delicious. She had a passion for antiques, a knack for making any space feel warm and welcoming, and a playful love for a good game of keno.
She had a special gift for making people feel seen and loved. Whether through a handmade creation, a heartfelt conversation, or a shared laugh, Vickie touched lives in ways big and small. Her presence brought color to the world, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
Vickie is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Alethea; her son, Seth; her five grandchildren; her great-grandchild; and her brother, Joe. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Ruth Kott.
A memorial service honoring Vickie's life will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Halley Olsen Murphy Funeral Home 44831 Cedar Ave. Lancaster, Ca 93534, with a viewing at 1:00 p.m. and the service at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share memories, laughter, and love as we remember a woman whose spirit will live on in every heart she touched.
