In loving memory of one of God's gifts, Vickie Lynn Slocumb on August 9, 2025 joined her family in heaven.

Whether family, extended family, friend or acquaintance Vickie loved everyone, greeted you with the most sincere warm hugs and with her countenance filled with exuberance and delight. There were so many wonderful people in her life.

Vickie is survived by her older sister Sherri (Dean) Demetre, older brother Rory Slocumb and little sister Lynn (Steve) Thomazin, her Aunt Evie Wang; as well as numerous cousins, first, second, third and adopted.

Vickie was preceded in death by her mother Elaine Metzger and her dad Raymond Metzger, nephew Michael Demetre, grandmothers Ethel Austreng, Anita Slocumb and Nellie Metzger, uncle Elton Austreng, aunt Natalie Witte, aunt Inez & uncle Richard Goodell, aunt Mable & uncle Elvin Morse, aunt Betty & uncle Harold Metzger, aunt Jean Bechel, aunt Georgia & uncle Roland Beguhn, uncles' Frank Trafford and Gordon Beguhn.

With her mother's marriage to Raymond Metzger the entire Metzger clan welcomed her wholeheartedly, though her favorites had to be Richard and Leona Metzger.

The Witte family especially Anita Wiese and James Witte showed their love and compassion throughout her life.

Tranda Hanvelt was part of her extended family. She took special care of her and Vickie loved her dearly.

We hold her in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Down Syndrome Foundation of Wisconsin in her name.
