Vickie Leigh Thomas, age 53 of Butler, TN, passed away January 30, 2024 at Bristol Regional Hospital. Vickie was born September 12, 1970 to Juanita Hicks and the late Windell White. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by Hilda and Lee Dugger who raised Vickie as their own.
Vickie loved all animals and often said she liked animals more than people. Her dog, Max, and her kittens were her best friends. Vickie was a member of Bakers Gap Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Juanita Hicks; sisters, Wanda Wilson, , Sue Devault , Miranda Crain and Randy Slimboskey; twin brother, Ricky Thomas; Joyce Dugger and husband June and their children, Crickett Snyder and Teresa Mitcham; special friends, Marvin Arney, Charlotte Dugger, and Sue Bunton.
The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Bakers Gap Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Peterson, James Richardson, and Terry Baird officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at Bakers Gap Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marvin Arney, Randy Slimboskey, Fred Dunn, Joel Dugger, Larry Stanton, Dick Snyder, David Francisco, and Charlie Adams. Honorary pallbearer is Randy Davis.
