Vickie Louise Walling, 76, of Winchester, IN passed away Wednesday August 13, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born October 3, 1948 in Winchester, IN to Steve and Jeanette Ashley. Vickie graduated from Winchester High School in 1967. She worked for long periods at Hawkins Appliance and the Jay-Randolph Development center and continued to live and work in Winchester her entire life.
Vickie will be remembered for her deep devotion to Christ. She was a 40 plus year member of the Voice for Christ church. She was a church elder and treasurer for many years. She was an extremely loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with family was her great joy. Vickie also found happiness caring for pets and fish, watching football games, gardening, knitting, puzzling, and vacationing with friends and family at Myrtle Beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Leroy Ashley, her Daughter Stacey Walling, and her son Anthony Walling. She is survived by her daughters Rickie (Chad) Williams, Nickie (Jeff) Callahan, her son James (Christa) Walling; grandchildren Whitney (Tyler) Walser, Logan (Kelsea) Williams, Dillon Williams, Autumn Murray, Anthony Callahan, Davion Delane, Gus Walling, Abe Walling, Gracie Walling ; great grand children Hunter, Esme and Griffin Williams.
A Celebration of Vickie's Life will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 20, 2025 at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Josh Grimes officiating. Friends and Family may call from 12:00-2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be following at Woodlawn Cemetery in Maxville, IN.
