Bobby Ray Walling

Bobby Ray Walling, age 80, loving husband of Margret Powell Murphy Walling, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born on January 18, 1945, in Irvine, Kentucky. Bobby was a member of Southland Christian Church in Nicholasville and worked for many years as a Design Engineer with CDP Engineers in Lexington. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his steady character, and his kind spirit. In addition to his wife, Margret, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa Dansby; his stepdaughter, Mary McBeath; and three grandchildren, Sarai (Roman) Swain, Cayla Kidd, and Margaret Moore. Additional survivors include his sisters, Joyce (Ray) Walling and Rhoda Anderson, and his sister-in-law, Martha Barnett. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sherman Barnett, Kenneth Barnett, and Betty Murphy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Kibler officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, with Harry Ashcraft, Bobby Perkins, Marion (Buddy) Sherrow, Steve Dean, Bobby Kerns, John Spickard, Lee Davis, and Mike Johns. serving as pallbearers.
