Thomas E. Walling Jr.

Thomas E. "Tom" Walling, Jr., 51, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. Tom was born and raised in Wall Township and had graduated from Wall High School. He received his bachelor's degree and master's from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Tom had been a member of several bands in the Philadelphia area. His group Burndown All Stars competed on a reality show called Bodog Music Battle of the Band, ultimately placing third. He was an exceptional drummer and gave lessons to many young students. Tom was a vital part of the Philadelphia musician community, and he loved painting, cooking, and songwriting. He was devoted to his family, loved his pets, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.
Tom was predeceased by his father Thomas E. Walling, Sr. in 2013. He is survived by his loving mother Charlotte Walling, and his beloved sister Bonnie Walling, both of Wall, NJ. Tom is also survived by many cousins, his dog Betty, his cat Shady, and his cherished Philadelphia Musician Community.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 12 pm to 4 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ 08736, with a funeral service to begin at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
