Michael F. Schloeder

Michael Schloeder of Wall Township passed away on March 24, 2023, to join his brother, John, and best bud, Kirby, in heaven. Just 2 ½ weeks shy of his 72nd birthday, Mike had a lifetime of beating all the odds. A graduate of Wall High School, Mike's life was filled with music, concerts, friends, family, and many canine companions. Oh, did he love dogs any dog. He equally loved his family and extended Life Chapel family, and he adored his niece, Jannah, with whom he shared a home for many years.
With a heart overflowing with love for others and a smile that lit up any room, Mike made friends wherever he went. His ability to sit quietly waiting for the right time to drop in a joke, or inability to keep quiet out of excitement for the things he loved will leave a gap in conversations for years to come. We look forward to the day we see Mike in Glory (and finally find out if they were on to something).
Mike was predeceased by his little brother, best friend, and biggest advocate, John Schloeder. He is survived by his sister-in-law Jo Smith Schloeder, with whom he lived; niece Jannah and her husband Kirkland Gee; his Smith siblings Lynn, Chris, Deb, David, Bill and Amy; his dear friends Bill & Helen and Fran & Phyllis; his sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Bruce Murray; and a number more nieces and nephews, eight by family and many by heart.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 5 pm at Life Chapel, 3118 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant, NJ. In lieu of flowers, you might consider donating in Mike's memory to the Monmouth County SPCA or an animal welfare charity of your choice.
