Vickie L. Wohlgamuth ,62, passed away on January 1, 2026 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters after enduring a chronic illness. She was born to Henry Beaufait and Karlene Iott on July 16, 1963 at Riverside Hospital in Toledo. Ohio. Vickie would go on to meet Joseph Richard Wohlgamuth, her "Big Sexy", and they would marry on January 21, 1983. Together they would raise four daughters and celebrate 42 years of marriage together before his passing on August 31, 2025.
Vickie had a variety of careers throughout her life such as serving as an STNA, florist, and deli associate. However, she was most known as a caring stay at home mother. She could often be found with Joe at luncheons at the East Toledo Senior Center. Vickie loved to crochet and macramé, do her nails, play cards, attend pool tournaments, and enjoy a ladies night out at the bar. Another one of her passions was attending her husband’s races and recording them on video. She also loved to lay out in the sun. If it was at least 64 degrees and up she had her bathing suit on, laying in the sun and working in the yard. While Vickie was very active in life, she also found peace sitting on her porch with her wind chimes, enjoying her white Russian and a cigarette. Her family already misses her presence and will remember her for her loving and caring nature and for her favorite saying; “Coming in hot!”.
Vickie is survived by her four daughters, Stephanie (Richie) Noonan, Jessica (Joshua) Limpf, Ashley (Justice) Avornu, and Emily (Ricky Madden Jr.) Wohlgamuth; grandchildren, Patryck, Malachi, Richard, Kalob, Kassidy, Araya, Aubrie, and Zendaya; mother, and sister, Tammy Arnold. Preceding her in death are her husband, father, grandmother Emily Marie Jackson, sister Jeanne Anne Beaufait, and mother-in-law Helen (Drill) Wohlgamuth.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Vickie on April 12, 2026 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at St. Clements Catholic Church located at 3030 Tremainsville Rd, Toledo, OH, 43613. Memorial contributions in Vickie’s name can be made to Life Connections of Ohio. Vickie was able to be considered to be eligible to give the gift of life as an organ donor and her family wishes to encourage others to consider becoming one as well.
