Funeral services for Vicky Barker will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Deacon Kim Carroll officiating with interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday February 16, 2024, at Gillette Memorial Chapel followed by a rosary. Vicky Barker age 64, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at her home in Casper. Vicky Lee Barker (Lara) was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. She lived 10 years in Douglas, Arizona. Then spent the last 23 years in Casper, Wyoming. Vicky overcame many obstacles such as many surgeries, GI bleeds, Diabetes, lack of vision, and Dialysis for more than 11 years. With all that she never felt sorry for herself or complained. Vicky was born to Benerito and Rose Lara on February 3, 1960. She was employed in many jobs from managing McDonald’s to working at the jail. Sometimes working multiple jobs at the same time. Aside from her years of work she was most dedicated to being a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Vicky devoted her life to her family. She loved her husband and daughters, but her grandchildren were her world. She loved all things to do with grandkids. She made sure to be at all activities grandkids were involved in. Vicky also loved going camping, going on cruises, Disneyland, gambling, and Bingo. Vicky had one of the biggest hearts. She always helped anyone who was in need. Vicky married Kerry Barker and had two daughters. They meant at a very young age. They loved one another so much and lived a great life til’ the end. Vicky is survived by her husband, Kerry and her daughters Tina (Brian) Stark and Kristi (Damian) Maciel, her grandchildren, Isaac Maciel, Hailey Stark, Elena Maciel, Braden Stark, Hayden Stark, Damian (DD) Maciel, Cheyenne (Gillette) Crouch, Riley Birkle. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Rose Lara, her 5 brothers Billie Lara, Donnie Lara, Bobby Lara, Stevie Lara, and Benny Lara and her 6 sisters Glenda Valencia, Betty Clouse, Gloria Lara, Peggy Lara, Dixie Schiefer, and Brenda Lavallie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
