Vicky Lee Shiver September 8th, 1948 – May 23rd, 2025
Vicky Lee (McIntosh) Shiver, age 76, was born September 8th, 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia and passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 23rd, 2025 in New Tazewell, Tennessee.
Vicky loved The Lord, her family, and all those she befriended along the way. Her love knew no bounds, as she cared for everyone that she met along her journey. Vicky would often volunteer at churches throughout the years and always went out of her way to ensure that everyone had what they needed. She passed on this love of service to her children and grandchildren, teaching that love can be unconditional and that everyone deserves a chance to be the best that they can be.
Vicky was preceded in death by her husband John F. Shiver Sr., her father Sidney McIntosh, her mother Bessie Tolbert, and grandson Roy Sewell Jr.. She is survived by her brothers Steven and Michael, sisters Terri and Martha, children Sandra (Shiver) Sewell and her husband Roy Sr., John F Shiver Jr., and Christopher Shiver as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home will be handling arrangements. Per Vicky's wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers her family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Vicky's honor.
