Eva Mae Tillman Irvin Shiver, 93, of Albany died Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22 at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor David Postlewaite will officiate.
Born December 9, 1931 in Wakulla County, FL, Mrs. Shiver was the daughter of the late Dozier Tillman and Ollie Pierce Tillman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward Shiver; her first husband, Rev. Dennis Oliver Irvin; two sons, Terry O. Irvin and Kenny E. Shiver; daughter, Patty Shiver; sister, Mildred Ross Pierce; and three brothers, George Tillman, Joseph Tillman, and Leroy Tillman. She retired from Coats and Clark after 31 years of service. Mrs. Shiver was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany for 73 years. She loved her church and church family and was a faithful and devoted Christian who attended church faithfully. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren with all her heart.
Survivors include her children, Glenda Simmons Apperson, Jimmy Shiver (Peggy), and Karen Shiver; 7 grandchildren, Mal L. Simmons, Jaime Cantrell (Paul), Adam Irvin, Dennis Irvin (Mandy), Leslie Shiver, Andria Barnaby (Cortney), Josh Shiver; 13 great grandchildren, Michael Simmons, Matthew Simmons, Lydia Goins (Joseph), Justin Goins, Camille Cantrell, Haley Irvin, Abby Shiver, Lilly Shiver, Zander Irvin, Gayge Hall, Trace Hall, Dallas Hall, and John Irvin; 3 great great grandchildren, Mason Irvin, Asher Irvin, and Avery Irvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany.
