Vicky Lynn Sossa-Hayduke 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Hubert, North Carolina, after a long battle with declining health issues.

Vicky was born September 22, 1952 in Bedford, Ohio to the late Rudy Michael and Joyce Avonel (Fultz) Sossa. She lived most of her younger years in Streetsboro, Ohio and was a proud member of the Streetsboro High School Class of 1970.

Known for her wit, sassy charm, and generosity, Vicky had a remarkable ability to put others first, bringing joy, comfort, and a sense of adventure wherever she went. She lived in many places around the country, making countless friends and touching lives. Vicky spent her final days near the serene shores of Emerald Isle, a community she loved deeply.

As a devoted fan of The Ohio State University football team, her enthusiasm for the Buckeyes was infectious, and she brought that same passion and energy to everything she cared about. Family, friends, and everyone who knew her will remember her for her lively spirit, her laughter, her devotion to those she loved and her unwavering zest for life. O-H-I-O!!

Vicky also had a heart full of love for animals, and her pets were an important part of her life. Their companionship brought her joy, laughter, and comfort, reflecting the same warmth and care she shared with everyone around her.

She will be deeply missed, but Vicky's love, humor, and caring spirit will remain in the hearts of all who know and love her.

Vicky is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Andrew Hayduke Jr.; daughter, Christina Marie (Hayduke) Hurles; son, John Andrew Hayduke III, and his wife, Melanie (Lesie) Hayduke; and grandchildren, Timothy DeLong, Hannah DeLong, and Harper Hayduke.

Surviving siblings include two brothers, Michael and (wife) Jean Sossa and David and (wife) Debbie Sossa, and a sister, Joyce Ann (Sossa) Krebs and her husband, Kreg Krebs. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as extended family.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wayne Allen Sossa.

Friends and family are invited to sign the guest book and share memories and photos on the website of Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, North Carolina. No services are scheduled at this time.
