Victor Seth Alpher

Austin. TX - V ictor Seth Alpher of Austin Texas, formerly of Niskayuna, New York, passed recently at his home in Austin. Victor received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his masters and doctorate degrees in Clinical and Experimental Psychology at Vanderbilt University.

In addition to his contributions to many publications in the field of psychology, Victor was the caretaker of his father's legacy. Ralph Alpher was the recipient of many awards for his amazing prediction in the late 1940's of microwave background radiation remaining from the " Big Bang."

Victor did much research and along with Simon Mitton ( British astronomer and writer), was able to find new source material which correctly represented his father and Dr. Robert Herman's place in the history of Cosmology for each new generation of physicists.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 pm Friday, August 22 . The service will be at the Congregation Agudat Achim Cemetery, which is at the end of 100 Mt. Stuart Rd. in Rotterdam.
