Monson – Victor John Anderson, 66, passed away December 21, 2023, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He was born January 3, 1957, in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of Milton Leroy and Flora Ann (Brown) Anderson. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad for 34 years, retiring in 2009. He and his wife explored the state of Maine, traveling and "yard-saling". Victor enjoyed finding rare and needful things for family and friends. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them. Having five brothers, he was also blessed with sisters-in-laws that he felt especially close to; Therese Anderson with her wise advice, Robin Storer whom he shared many antics and practical jokes, and Monica Applebee Storer with her zest for life and sense of adventure.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lori (Storer) Anderson; two daughters, Lisa Anderson of Sangerville, and Aileen Anderson of Skowhegan; eight grandchildren, Nick Anderson, Austin Anderson, Ben Martin, Allie Martin, Coby Roberts, Makyala Roberts, Keira Roberts, and Lyla White; five brothers, Irelann Anderson and his wife, Therese, of Eddington, Joel Anderson of East Corinth, and Mark, Wade, and Tracy Anderson, all of Monson; special brothers-in-law, Larry and Lonnie Storer of Monson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Corey Anderson; and infant daughter, Bambi Anderson.
The family will celebrate his life 2PM Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Monson Gym, 35 Greenville Road, Monson. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
